Ottawa entrepreneur awarded J.W. Graham Medal in Computing & Innovation
Ottawa, ON – June 13, 2017 – The University of Waterloo is honoring Vicki Iverson with the 2017 J.W. Graham Medal in Computing & Innovation from the Faculty of Mathematics. Vicki, the CTO and co-founder of Iversoft, is being recognized for her outstanding professional contributions, entrepreneurial leadership, and forward-thinking client solutions that continue to drive the company’s success. She will receive a medal and deliver a speech to the Mathematics graduates at the University of Waterloo's convocation ceremonies on June 15 and 16, 2017.
Vicki’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2006 at the University of Waterloo, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science. She then went on to attend the University of Toronto, where she earned a Masters of Science specializing in Artificial Intelligence.

Vicki co-founded Iversoft, an innovative Ottawa-based technology firm specializing in custom apps, games, and websites that bring to life a mobile-first strategy for small to large business, in 2009. Since its inception, Iversoft has become a recognized name in all things digital media and has effectively positioned itself as one of North America’s premiere mobile development studios. In her free time, Vicki offers professional mentorship and volunteers time with groups such as Microsoft Youthspark, TECDE, and Founder Institute. She is a strong advocate for women in technology and actively encourages youth to pursue careers in STEM. In recognition of her works, Vicki has received a Forty Under 40 2016 award from the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce, along with the Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 award for from Women in Communications and Technology.
